The Louisiana legislature passed a bill that permits the number of medical marijuana dispensaries to grow from nine to thirty over time, with existing MMJ operators having the option to do so.

Currently, no laws in Louisiana allow for the recreational use of marijuana. So, if you're not a medical marijuana patient, you won't be able to purchase weed from a dispensary legally.
